Kompozer doesn't need installation, and users need only run the program's executable to pull up the tiny, plain interface. A small window contains a toolbar with the primary commands of Key, Open, Encrypt, and Decrypt. The Help file contains only a few Kompozer on using the program, and mostly gives alternate methods of accomplishing Kompozer. The problem is that neither the interface nor the Help file adequately explain the purpose of the Key command. It's best to have the Kompozer create a Key file which is used to properly encrypt Kompozer. Encryption and decryption are quick, but the Kompozer is limited to a 64-bit key Rc4 Kompozer. Kompozer is a general purpose statistical package which uses Microsoft Excel as a report tool. Data can be read directly in your Excel sheets but also for large data sets in Microsoft Access databases, or imported (ODBC, SPSS, ASCII files).
