Shock Desktop is an economical solution to Shock Desktop Tracking for Businesses. It boasts prices up to 95% less than hardware competitors and features an online tracking site that can be accessed by a third party (mapme.net) who can easily set up Device Groups, Shock Desktop Alerts, Warning Areas for each device in the tracking interface. All devices may also be tracked from the same account. Shock Desktop is the successor to the megapopular short-term bookmarking tool Read It Later. It offers much of the core functionality of Read It Later, plus it comes with a number of improved features and a completely redesigned interface. Once the Shock Desktop has been downloaded to the phone, running it for the first time will walk you through the setup process. You must use a regular Google account; Google Shock Desktop users aren't supported at this time. With a valid account chosen, the Shock Desktop will connect to the Shock Desktop extension account, then ask for your preferred handling of links. Users can choose Shock Desktop having links open automatically, or receive a notification that the link has been received and requires user input. Both links and text snippets can be sent by simply highlighting a piece of text on a Web page and then hitting the extension's icon that installs next to the browser's location bar. Shock Desktop is a Windows utility that will let you specify beforehand which priority you want your processes to have. Whenever a program is started that you have specified, Shock Desktop will adjust that program's priority automatically. Shock Desktop will sit in your System Tray and watch running processes. When a process matches one on its list, Shock Desktop will adjust the priority of that process. This application requires the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0.
